Customer Reviews

This is quite simply the best effects unit you are going to get for your $90. Period. Just the effects combos alone are worth several times that. Add the amp and cab models, and you've got something special. But even more than that, you also get a sweet drum machine. And then there is the phrase looper, which is just awesome! You can't get a DEDICATED phrase looper for less than $180! And to top it all off, you can go direct to your computer via USB to record, and also to edit the presets. This computer-based editing of the presets is the way to go. It's way easier to edit them via the software interface than by twiddling the knobs on the unit itself. You can really try out a lot of combos, and dial in the sound you are after pretty easily. You'll have to get your own USB cord though, the kind you'd use for a printer with one standard USB plug and one of those narrow-style USB plugs. I think they could have included one, but I'm not complaining. Oh, and how could I forget that this thing has true STEREO out. You can run it out to two amps, and really take advantage of the stereo effects like the panner and the ping pong delay. It has a nice headphone out that you can use as a personal earphone monitor too. That's a cool feature.
I'm using this for harmonica, and I can dial in a range of great amped tones and add effects as I please. I love the octave down and the leslie/vibrato/chorus simulators. Great organ tones there. I also love the wide range of delays and reverbs. There are so many great tones there to be had. Plus the thing has the ability to bypass all the amp and cab sims and just use the effects, so if you have an amp with good harp tone (ie. Like my Epiphone Vlave Junior that I modded for harps), this little pedal can be used in front just to add any/all effects you like. You'll only need this ONE pedal instead of e very expensive (and heavy) pedalboard full of individual effects. And you'll be able to dial in way more various effects combos than you could with that discreet pedal board.
This is simply the best bang for your buck. Period.

I can't get over how much Digitech Products have changed. Back in 2002(i think it was?) i bought a Rp150 with the Expression pedal built on. I compared the 2008-2009 version to the Rp150 2002 version. They have really improved. I actually sold my Digitech pedal to get a bigger Randall Amp due to starting a band. That was a joke. The Band was a joke that is. Anyways, i decided to get another Digitech Effects pedals and i chose this one due to it's good price with many/enough effects. This pedal has eveything you could want from Phaser, rotary, All kinds of Amps and Cabinets, stomp boxes,Acoustic guitar Modeler, Pitch shifter... you name it. It even has a looper built in along with a metronome and built in drums. I haven't got to try everything out, but so far it has been fun. I got this model especially for the recording feature. Just buy a Usb cable and hook it up to your Computer and record. You will have to go into your DAW software and set it up, but that isn't too hard. Make sure you download the Driver from Digitech in order for your DAW to recognize your Rp155. Overall, i recommend this pedal.
